Am J Physiol Heart Circ Physiol Wolfort et al. 294: H2619

Retraction

Wolfort RM, Stokes KY, Granger DN. CD4+ T lymphocytes mediate hypercholesterolemia-induced endothelial dysfunction via a NAD(P)H oxidase-dependent mechanism. Am J Physiol Heart Circ Physiol 294: H2619–H2626, 2008. First published April 11, 2008; doi:10.1152/ajpheart.00989.2007.

The authors wish to retract the above-referenced article due to evidence of data fabrication and falsification. The primary author (Ryan Wolfort) has admitted to the addition of fabricated data to the experimental groups summarized in the figures and in Table 1. In addition, he was found to deliberately alter some of the myographic tracings to yield a desired outcome. Consequently, the authors wish to retract the offending article. We deeply regret any scientific misconceptions that have resulted from the publication of this manuscript.
