Functional and morphological evidence for a ventricular conduction system in zebrafish and Xenopus hearts
Am J Physiol Heart Circ Physiol Sedmera et al. 284 (4): H1152.

Supplemental Movie

Examples of excitation spread on ventricular surface. Zebrafish hearts in right lateral view are shown. The movies were recorded at 500 frames/sec and play at 6 frames/sec. First derivative of the inverted optical signal is shown. In the spontaneous rhythm, atrial excitation precedes the activation of the ventricle. Note considerably lower speed of propagation of the paced beat.
