Cover: Caveolae of rat atrial myocytes in primary cell culture studied by confocal immunofluorescence microscopy. Superposition of 2 pseudocolored images of myocytes immunostained, respectively, with antibody to caveolin-3 (Cav-3) and antibody to aquaporin-1 (Ap-1) yields confocal micrograph showing localization of Cav-3 at cell surface (red), localization of Ap-1 in subplasmalemmal cytosol (green), and colocalization of Ap-1 and Cav-3 at cell surface (yellow) where orientation is favorable, consistent with interaction of Ap-1 with plasma membrane caveolae.
