Cover: Breakdown of ventricular tachycardia into ventricular fibrillation (VF) in a two-dimensional model of cardiac conduction. A single spiral wave has become dynamically unstable and has broken in two (top left). The process repeats and continues the breakdown into turbulent VF in the subsequent panels (clockwise direction). Local voltage is shown in color and decreases from red to blue.
